It's not every day that you get called up for a long haul flight like MUC-MAN, but this time, I got so lucky.
But my mind and body had a hard time processing that I was suddenly going to Europe the next day, so I was dreading the flight a little at first. Imagine having to pack for winter less than 24 hours before the actual time of departure, I think it's quite a drag.
However, I have to say, the flight turned out to be one of the better ones I've had far, and I miss the people I was with for the whole 6 days. You eat almost every meal together and spend time together every day, be it for work or play. It's nice, to have that kind of bond with the people you work with, these are the things that make flights much, much enjoyable.
Munich was so beautiful! Unfortunately, I didn't get to venture much but I made a promise to myself that I will plan a proper itinerary the next time I'm here. But we went to Marienplatz twice throughout the span we were there, and went crazy at the Zara stores, my goodness the sales are insane. 40 euros for a winter jacket? You don't think, you just BUY.
My EUR 40 winter jacket- makes me look totally penguin-fied but I LOVE IT! keeps me so warm.
This ^ was my outfit for Day 1! Right after a 13-hour flight, I went to the gym, showered and nap for an hour and then got ready for lunch and explored the city with the crew. My level of resistance when it comes to fatigue is incredible- I think my body is secretly a machine.
Mandatory tourist shot at Marienplatz! It's even more stunning in real life. And believe it or not, it was only close to 5pm when this was taken! The sun sets early here, hence the lack of natural lighting in this picture. But s'okay! I still love it.
And the best thing about going out with seniors is that they will always introduce the good stuff to you- and in Germany, the good stuff comes in the form of friggin' delicious hazelnut chocolates and Movenpick yogurt.
Now this, my friends, is how heaven looks like. Hahaha, but seriously tho! These are amazing stuff. That caramel flavoured Movenpick yogurt is the best thing on Earth, my biggest regret is not buying more of it when I had the chance! But that's okay because I still bought like 10 more packs in other flavours back home (kiasu game strong).
Another friggin' amazing stuff that I rushed down to the supermarket an hour before pick up time for. I was having like a serious discussion with one of the crew about chocolates and he was telling me how these ^ are much better than the original hanuta so he let me try one and my life changed forever. These are the only thing I would only get out of bed and sacrifice my lepak time for okay!!!!!
I'm telling you, the amount of chocolates I had over the past 6 days is insane- but it's okay because....
......... I work out ;)
I'm so incredibly in love with Munich, and haven't gotten enough of it yet- I'll be back to do more sightseeing for sure. There's still so much more to see, more beauty of the world to be amazed by. Dear future roster, please bless me with another MUC flight!
I guess personally I really love Europe stations a lot, they're so breathtakingly and effortlessly beautiful. Will I ever get sick of it? I think not. The minute I stepped out of the hotel, I just felt so blessed to be here. Writing this when I'm back home made me reminisce all the moments, and it's nice to recall such lovely memories. Can't believe I was just there, sometimes all these travelling feels like a dream.
I'll try to do more of these whenever I get the chance. I think there's so much beauty in this world and I'd love to share the great stuff with all of you guys. Till the next adventure!
Love,
Ashhy
