It kinda feels like I'm blogging in the past when I publish a post or two a tad too late but I know someday when I read back upon them, the published date won't matter but the memories that it brings back will.
However, I decided to write another post to update about what's going on right now, at this present moment. It's already December, that means the new year is coming faster than I can imagine.
This whole week I was in Singapore because I had to go back to training school to complete my Business Class training from Monday all the way to Friday. One thing I've learnt from this week is that if I were to ever have a 9-5 job in the future, I sure as hell have to prepare my mind for it because I did not like the idea of waking up early every day, sitting down on my butt all day, and having to sleep early to prepare for the next day. That kind of lifestyle is just something that I'm not used to and I have so much respect for all of you who are working in an office and being able to go through that every weekday.
It's not easy.
And the amount of money I spent on Uber and Grab.... whew. Also because Changi is really far from where I live so it's really quite difficult for me to commute to and fro without feeling like death.
Haha, but I'm absolutely exaggerating.
It wasn't too bad, besides the points I've mentioned. On the brighter side of things, I enjoyed being able to see my mum more often. I was able to eat dinner at home and enjoy her home-cooked meals that I wouldn't be able to have when I'm away. I had time to watch her favourite dramas on TV with her, even though sometimes the dramatic storylines frustrates me. Yet I find a lot of joy in those little moments because it makes up for the time that I spend away from home. Those little things. I miss them dearly when I'm away for work.
I even had more time to run because we normally end the day pretty early, so I would get home around 6 and that's usually my favourite time to run because the sun would be setting soon.
There's beauty in that routine life, too. Although there are good in my erratic, unpredictable, inconsistent cabin crew roster as well.
So this week is one of those rare days where I would get both weekend off.
Hence, I spent a little more time here, trying to recreate the outlook of my blog. I spent hours choosing the right look and editing what needs to be edited, trying to make it look as how I want it to look like. I realised that I can be quite the perfectionist when it comes to aesthetics because I want to give the best experience to the readers. Those hours spent on perfecting and editing were worth it though, I'm so happy with the end result!
Hopefully, with this new outlook, I will have the motivation to blog a little more. I'm really excited to share about my recent travels to Frankfurt/NY and Japan with you guys! So rest assure, I'll be back soon.
Till then, be well always.
Love,
Ashhy
