Rest and relax

It really is a different feeling when you wake up knowing that you've got all the rest you need and more.

I slept for 14 hours after coming back from Sydney and that is a record. I've always heard stories from my fellow colleagues about how they'd sleep for half a day after flights sometimes. There's one stewardess who told me that her mother got so worried and thought that she died because she knocked out for more than 12 hours. I used to laugh at these stories, not knowing that one day it will happen to me. It really does reflect on how the physical aspect of the workload can really take a toll on oneself.

I feel so refreshed though, I feel like today started off so well. It motivated me to create a new board on Pinterest on "self-loving" that includes various pins of my idea of pampering myself.

I had a productive day in Sydney nonetheless. After getting some sleep, I dragged myself to the supermarket to get some necessities (i.e. water) but ended up with a lot more than just that. What's new right? But this time, I got a little adventurous and discovered a lot of things I never knew I could find. So normally, I'd just get my favourite snacks that are way cheaper in Australia (or should I say, ridiculously overpriced in Singapore).

But this time, I decided to look deeper and realised that they sell hummus at a very cheap price! And I love hummus. I even bought a couple of seasonings, not that I even cook, but it was so cheap I had to grab and try. They even sell these travel-friendly granola boxes that comes with a spoon, so I'd usually just grab any yogurt, mix it up and have it for breakfast whenever I'm on the go.

I kinda wanna pick up cooking soon, I feel like I might make a pretty good cook if I actually put my mind to it. Being bored in a station all by yourself can sometimes lead to you making these random life decisions for yourself. Either way, it was a pretty nice me-time in Sydney.

Love,
Ashhy
