New York and back

Today I'm back with an update on my not-so-recent trip to Frankfurt and New York. I didn't know if I was going to write a post on this one because it's been while some time since that trip but I figured, why the hell not. It was one of the more memorable flights I've done and only my second time in New York and I had great company too. Flights like this don't happen all the time so I take what I can get, and will always try to document it one way or another- so let's go!

Long flights are the best. I love how we'd touch down in the morning and would be able to spend the entire morning to catch up on lost sleep, and then meet up again for good food. Among crew, Frankfurt's famous for its pasta joint called Mario Lino and that was our first stop that day.

The weather was beautiful in Frankfurt so the next day, we went to Eiserner Steg aka the love lock bridge to take pretty photos for the 'gram.

Although Frankfurt was nice, the true highlight of the trip is going to New York. There were a bunch of things we were all looking forward to- especially this one right below, The Halal Guys. New York is the where the franchise started so you can find a truck quite easily around here, compared to the other States stations- which is awesome.

The red sauce is REALLY spicy and the man asked me how much sauce I wanted and I answered "LOTS." So he obviously showed me no mercy. It was torture, but it was misery at best.
I really wanted to go to Dumbo to take a photo along that infamous lane with the backdrop of Manhattan Bridge. But of course, the place is packed with tourists and cars were constantly driving by and honking, probably so done dealing with this every single day.

So glad to have these two with me throughout the whole trip, made the flight a lot more fun than I've expected!

And what's New York without Times Square? It's almost always packed with people but I can't help but love the vibe here.

Pardon the crazy messy room- trying on clothes to wear for the next day haha!

I woke up hungry in the middle of the night and remembered that I bought a tub of banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery to try. My first time trying this, and IT WAS PURE HEAVEN. Only regret is that I didn't get a bigger tub than this. SO DAMN GOOD.

We met again the next morning and decided to go to Coney Island- which was about an hour's journey from where we stayed. Most of the time, I put sleep first before anything else because getting sufficient rest is really important to me, or else I'd get really cranky. But it isn't every day that I get to meet such spontaneous crew who were willing to go somewhere totally out of the way for a whole new experience. So I guess, why not?

Go Kart gives me serious anxiety but again, did it for these guys!

This ride was THE BOMB DIGGITY. Love it!!!

Eight days went by really fast with these guys around, I'm so thankful for the good company. Flights like these would suck without friends, so these guys were truly the best thing about this trip. Even with the lack of sleep and the crazy jetlag, I still had the energy to roam around with these guys and experienced so much more. There's always so much to do in New York and lots to see, there are still a couple more things I've yet to checked from my bucket list but all in due time, I'm sure.

I'll try to update this space a little more real soon, till the next post!

Love,
Ashhy
