Practice patience

Patience is a big word, especially when it comes to me.

I'm very short-tempered. I think I take after my father. However, I feel like over the years, patience becomes something that I learn to have.

Luke is the more patient one between us two. He's always the one giving in, the one who doesn't blow up easily, or at all. It takes a lot to get him angry.

I think it's simply because he practices patience and he doesn't think that being angry can solve anything- which is absolutely true.

Maybe his influence made me a more patient human being. I'm still getting there, I can't say that I'm completely zen now. But I really am slowly changing into a person who thinks a little more rationally, acts a little more maturely, and I strongly believe in karma.

The world is round. Your wrongdoings will get back at you. Your good deeds will too.

So every time I get close to being upset, I will always remember how life has a way of turning things around. Some things just aren't meant to be taken into your own hands.

A good friend once told me that if you stay patient and have faith in God, the reward is immeasurable. True enough, practicing patience is the way to turn a bad day into a good one.

Today was just the biggest example of it all.

Alhamdulillah.
